The Committee also handles Concern for the Ageing.

Bowel disease claims more lives annually than road accidents, yet there
are few Bowel Cancer awareness campaigns compared with the many road safety
promotions. Annual testing is recommended for both men and women over
45 years of age, is non invasive, and at minimal cost.

Probus Clubs are perhaps Rotary’s greatest Community Service project
and are designed to provide fellowship opportunities for retired and semi-retired
business and professional men and women. The Chairman can provide detailed
literature to encourage Rotary Clubs to promote the formation of new Probus
Clubs and forward any enquiries about joining existing Probus clubs.
